Friedhelm Theis

IT and cybersecurity expert with many years of experience in sales and business management

Friedhelm Theis provides strategic support to friedrich30 regarding IT security and the defense against threats in cyberspace. His areas of expertise are enterprise management, digital forensics, telecommunication surveillance and cryptanalytics.

He has also been a member of the advisory board of SciEngines GmbH in Kiel since 2015.

Career

Prior to friedrich30, Friedhelm was at Deutsche Telekom and built up the defense and security division of the telecommunications group in partnership with the German Armed Forces. Since the early 2000s, he was also responsible for the international defense and security business unit in Brussels.

Prior to that, he was head of the information management department and, from 1995, also founding managing director of a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary in Dresden.

Friedhelm has experience in the founding of businesses and has, among other things, taught as a guest lecturer at two universities on this subject.

Education

He graduated from the German Armed Forces University with a degree in mechanical engineering. Friedhelm served in the German Armed Forces as a captain.
